I already reviewed Coastal Fire Dept in the past but they are out now with a new cool Ep and I want to share my opinion about it.
The sound of this band is fantastic and they reconfirm themselves.
I like the energy that the guitars and the rhythm section unleash. Powerful, epic music that manages to be melodic at the same time.
In this new Ep that collects their last 3 singles, the rock vein of these guys is evident, who are undoubtedly inspired by 90s rock.
What Do I is a very catchy single and it’s accompanied by a nice video where a guy who has argued with his girlfriend, to forget their fight, starts running around the beautiful countryside of Guernsey, Channel Islands where this band has its headquarters.
The production is perfect and every sound element finds the right space and the song breathes well.
A direct rock without strings attached that I recommend to everyone again. These guys know how to do it and they always produce quality music.

What Do I is a soaring post-grunge/alt rock track set in the here and now. It’s about people who wear their hearts on their sleeves and is a warning to be careful who you trust with your feelings. Influenced by US bands such as Nirvana, Balance & Composure, Title Fight & Teenage Wrist the band took those vibes into the studio.
A song hugely influenced by US bands recorded by a British band on the way up.
