Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to WESSON. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was fascinated by their style.
The sound of this band is interesting and manages to stand out from the crowd.
The thing that intrigued me the most is the sound which is very much based on the high tones, especially in the musical arrangements. The voice, on the other hand, is warm and is able to speak to the listener’s soul.
The chord progression of WESSON’s debut single ‘Understand’ is very well thought-out and is never predictable and banal.
These guys have just recently started this musical project but it feels like they have a lot of compositional experience behind them.
A band that proves to have a maturity and a talent out of the ordinary as it offers quality music where above all the melodic line manages to be absolutely moving.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

WESSON is a British alt/rock band led by singer/songwriter Chris Wesson. Based in Milton Keynes, the four-piece band was formed under the mutual decision to find like- minded souls who needed music as part of their everyday life and essence to their being. Emitting a gritty rock undertone, bold melodic bass riffs and driving drum beats, WESSON delivers a soundtrack to everyday life events, touching on reflections and memories that pass them by.
Having toured across the UK, supporting artists such as The Bluetones and Lucy Spraggan, WESSON are set for an exciting 2022, with gigs slated throughout the year including a London showcase in June.
