Good Day Noir Family,
Wake Me in the Sunrise, Wilhelm’s album, sweeps listeners into a deeply atmospheric and nuanced world.

Wake Me in the Sunrise is Wilhelm’s Album Out Now

The opening track, Midnight Caller On The Moon, sets a haunting tone with whispery vocals that feel like echoes across a lunar expanse.

This delicate song draws you into an almost hypnotic space, with gentle arpeggios and distant arrangements that evoke a sense of solitude and contemplation.

Following is Obituary Page, a song that dives even deeper, where you can sense a Radiohead influence, creating a vibe that’s melancholic and uplifting. Wilhelm captures the essence of vulnerability and introspection, inviting listeners to reflect and explore within.

Moving to Upon The Thinnest Lips, more spirited energy emerges, led by guitar work with hints of Appalachian Country, giving the album a touch of rustic warmth.

All The Things I Need To Say sees Wilhelm leaning more into his folk roots, with a dash of Bluegrass influence shining through in the banjo and guitar. The blend of alternative folk with classic Americana gives the track a lively, earthy quality.

Then, One To Keep You Warm stands out as a truly imaginative piece, opening up into an airy, almost cinematic landscape that seems to lift you out of the present.

Prophet’s Gun further showcases Wilhelm’s compositional skill, balancing modern refinement with a grounding in traditional sounds, capturing moods that feel timeless.

The closing track, Hold Your Head Now Baby, is a soft, intricate finale. Wilhelm’s vocals here are subtly reminiscent of Prince mixed with Grant-Lee Phillips, tender yet resilient, crafting a piece as fragile yet resilient as a spider’s web.

Wake Me in the Sunrise is an album of considerable depth, inviting repeated listens to uncover the full richness of its layers.
