Volcanic Lavender’ is the opening track from my debut solo album, ‘Earwitness on Trial’, scheduled for release on 27 October 2023. The track had its origins in reflections on the renascent pop-cultural interest in philosophical pessimism over the past decade, exemplified by season 1 of ‘True Detective’ and the alarmism of U.S. right-wing commentator Glenn Beck — who declared a liberal plot to spread ideas of nihilism and progressive eugenics among the masses.
