The band’s bold embrace of artificial intelligence as a tool for shaping their sound results in a sonic journey that is unpredictable and fascinating, tapping into a broad range of emotions and musical styles.

From theatrical narratives to high-octane energy, Vart is a chaotic and immersive experience, with each track offering something unique.

The album opens with “High On Neon,” a song that immediately establishes its theatrical flair. The sharp and tense lyrics set the stage for what is to come. The track has an almost cinematic quality, as if it were the soundtrack to a spooky Disney movie film.

Next up is “So Mote It Be,” which takes a sudden turn into country territory. There’s an infectious drive to the track, with its rootsy instrumentation and rolling rhythm.

The song feels like an anthem for getting lost on a long drive through the desert, your thoughts drifting as the endless horizon stretches out before you.

The shift in tone is jarring but oddly seamless, proving the band’s versatility in traversing such different styles with ease.

The mood shifts again with “Oz (an He-Goat Also),” a song that channels a modern pop-rock energy akin to Imagine Dragons. The song is vibrant and dynamic, featuring driving rhythms and catchy melodies.

It’s a marked contrast to the earlier tracks, and yet it maintains the album’s overall sense of experimentation and unpredictability. The pop elements are intense but never overbearing, and the track is an unexpected highlight, pulling you in with its compelling hooks.

“High On Neon – Freak Tweak Version” is a full-throttle ride, with hard rock and punk influences creating a visceral energy that’s almost overwhelming. The track’s frantic pace and frenetic guitar riffs make it a standout moment on the album, and it’s easy to imagine it being a crowd favorite in a live setting.

The album’s diversity continues with “Poon-Jab – Trifecta Version,” a song that brings to mind the visual and auditory aesthetics of sci-fi epics like Dune. There’s an eerie, otherworldly atmosphere here, with the song feeling like a warning from a prophetic oracle. It’s a track that both unnerves and fascinates, with an electronic edge that hints at the future, rather than the present.

Then comes “Where’s Spook? – Dedicated to Roger Wayne Bryant,” a surprise in the form of an uplifting, smooth jazz-inspired track. The song’s atmosphere is reminiscent of the kind of classic holiday music you’d hear around Christmas, with a brightness that feels almost out of place on an album that has otherwise veered into darker or more experimental territories.

The track’s warmth and charm offer a brief respite from the intensity of the previous songs, demonstrating the band’s ability to balance contrasting moods.

“Emo Mow Down” is another cool tune, bringing a darker, brooding energy that recalls the work of Type O Negative. The track feels like it exists in a twilight zone between dream and nightmare, drawing the listener into a mysterious, almost haunting space.

The heavy guitars and deep, resonant vocals give it an ominous presence, and it is, without a doubt, one of the album’s most memorable and atmospheric moments.

With 35 tracks in total, Vart is a sprawling and ambitious project. The variety on display here—from country to pop rock to dark, experimental sounds—keeps the listener engaged, even as it challenges their expectations at every turn.

The album’s ability to blend disparate genres into a cohesive vision is impressive, and it’s clear that GODDAMN GOTHS ON METH has a unique voice in today’s musical landscape.

This album is not just a collection of songs but a statement, a glimpse into the future of music, where the boundaries of creativity are pushed ever outward.

Vart is a bold exploration of sound and concept. It’s a daring experiment, full of surprises and shifts in mood, offering something for everyone while remaining true to the band’s singular artistic vision.
