Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to UnderwaterSun. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his compositional style.
Magic and ethereal atmosphere, these are the first sensations I felt listening to the music of this artist.
I liked the dreamy atmosphere created by his music.
While I was listening to the song I closed my eyes and I let myself be carried away by the melody and I began to travel with my imagination and I found myself flying over the green English countryside while wondering who lived in those houses from where the smoke came out of the chimney.
Parallel lives and people I will never know but who are part of the collective intelligence of the world, in the end we are all one.
This music inspired and relaxed me and made me explore parts of my unconscious that I didn’t even know I had.
A trip more than a song that I recommend to everyone.

UnderwaterSun is an emerging Birmingham based singer-songwriter and producer which is the sole DIY bedroom pop project of Harry Aidan Sampson. UnderwaterSun’s sound takes inspiration from the pioneers of the bedroom pop genre such as Rex Orange County and Dayglow but adds his distinctively British innocent sound, resembling classic indie noughties bands such as The Kooks. The lo-fi effect in the intro through to the soft melancholy vocals creates an intimate vibe that will have you reminiscing of insecure teenage summer days.
