Under Scary Houses is Paytron Saint’s Ep Out Now
This EP marks a significant departure from their earlier work, showcasing a more mature and refined sound that reflects their growth as musicians and individuals.
In the lead up to recording these songs, the band took on a busy gigging and rehearsing schedule that included a short tour of the midlands in the UK at the end of April. These shows drew comparisons to bands such as Placebo, Rush, Queens Of The Stone Age and alt. rock legends Hüsker Dü, all of which have been influences on their music in one way or another.
The lead single from this collection is a cover of Hüsker Dü’s classic ‘Don’t Want To Know If You Are Lonely’, one of singer Nicks all time favourites. The band started playing this live in 2022 in response to comparisons mentioned above and enjoyed it so much they felt it should really be part of the EP. Their version has been listened to by Hüsker Dü’s original bass player Greg Norton who gave really positive feedback as well as some useful mix notes.
