With his interest in writing and performing rock/metal music, Starks Daemon is a renowned name in Africa metal. Hailing from Botswana, Africa, he has been Wrust front man for over 23 years, an international band that has shared stage with international acts such as Sepultura, Carcass, Entombed, Konkhra, both locally and internationally.
He is a songwriter, rock/metal vocalist, guitarist and producer. Towards the end of 2023, Starks Daemon took a decision to focus on his brand as a solo artist, this came as a result of multiple line-up changes within the Wrust camp. Starks took some of the songs he had written for Wrust’s next album and started rewriting them, introducing melodic vocals to the brutal guitar riffs, emphasizing more on the grooves and easy-to-follow rhythm sections. Starks started by re-recording the first ever Wrust ballad song “Too Deep” adding more color by introducing more leads under tones on the verses.
