The album opens with the atmospheric “Morning Prayer,” setting a sci-fi ambience that prepares the listener for the journey ahead.
The following track, “Silent Aspirations,” is a standout, with its catchy melody and rhythmic structure reminiscent of 21 Pilots. The song’s enchanting quality is undeniable.
“Sternal Precautions” introduces a more urgent pace, showcasing the artist’s versatility with its grunge-inspired chorus.
The track “Valladolid” takes a folkier turn, adding female vocals and a softer counterpoint to the main melody.
“Glass Psyche” is another highlight, with its tribal-like drumming and otherworldly vocals that evoke the spirit of the Smashing Pumpkins.
“No Funeral,” is one of my favourites which starts with an ancient-sounding female vocal that transports the listener to another time and place.
Sentinel Events is an artist who is always searching for something with different sounds and styles. His music is innovative and refined, drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres.
