Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Transistor. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes created by their music.
The compositional style of this band is very interesting. Surely these guys find inspiration from bands of the past but at the same time, they manage to be modern and unique.
In some moments they reminded me of the Beach Boys meeting The Killers, a peculiar mix but certainly successful.
The production is excellent and you feel that these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.
The mix is fantastic and leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
A band to keep an eye on because they have a great talent and they know how to propose their musical project to the masses.

Mature and Refined!
Transistor began when Patrick Davis met Drew Sikes on a music app and they realized they lived in the exact same building. Some would say it was meant to be. Drummer JT Ward and bassist Mason Richardson joined shortly thereafter to round out an indie rock sound that has been described as both nostalgic and new. The band recorded and released their debut EP The Palace in 2019 and began playing shows in Alabama and Tennessee.
