The powerful and solid sound of this band immediately struck me.
From the very first notes, you realize that you are in front of great musicians. The melodic and harmonic construction of their songs is brilliant.
You feel that these guys have been influenced by legendary bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and I have also heard Alice in Chains, especially in the harmonies of the vocals.
I liked their music a lot. The distorted guitars are powerful and the musical understanding between these guys is enviable. Honestly, I found no faults.
The fact that they have paired this sound with lyrics that want to spread the word of God is very fascinating.
Generally, rock bands tend to get closer to the dark side of the moon, it’s nice to find artists that want to light the path instead of making it spooky.
The Word66 know how to do it, they are professionals and they deserve all our attention. Go and listen to them you will be surprised by the quality of their music.

A Christian rock band on a mission to spread the word with rocking melodies and positive lyrics, coming from a place deep within their hearts, and led by the Holy Spirit. The trio was formed in 2018 by founding veteran guitarist Steve Scott.
The bands debut single “On the way to the promise land” is inspired by “the good book” and is being well received and added to many radio station playlists, Christian, AOR, Hair band and hardcore. Steve had lost his way from religion and his love for playing music for many years until God brought him back to fulfill this purpose. “Everyone has a purpose to fulfill in life.
Some know what it may be and others may take a long time searching.” The band’s purpose is to write music that will send out various messages to all who would like to hear. Steve says “We just write some good rock n roll with positive vibes.” “We like to think that in some cases we are adding some light to the darkness.” Edgy with a touch of commercial acceptability, this Christian rock band, is bringing its catchy melodies and thought provocative lyrics evident in their debut single.
Other songs to follow are inspired by scripture and our everyday struggles in life and where to find the answers. The Word66 has been chosen to spread the good news in their unique way to all who will listen.
