Good Day Noir Family,
Teleost’s Three Originals EP emerges like a secret ritual unfolding under moonlight.

Three Originals is Teleost’s Ep Out Now

From the opening track, “Forget,” the distorted and rumbling chords feel like a storm on the verge of breaking, while the vocals channel an ancient and epic aura, as if you’ve stumbled upon a midnight ceremony.

The intensity is raw and unapologetic, with the drummer hammering away like a blacksmith forging steel on an anvil.

“Ether” maintains the trance, guiding listeners into the unexplored corners of their subconscious.

The sonic approach is unrefined in the best way, yet carries a distinct signature—layered guitars, a steady snare that feels both relentless and hypnotic, and a voice that hovers like a ghostly presence.

Nothing is polished or sweetened; instead, each note seems to challenge the listener to dive deeper.

The EP closes with “Throwaway,” a piece that resonates with the chill of black metal’s distant echoes. Its riff grows gradually, while the voice, sublime and weightless, glides over a rough musical foundation like an angel drifting above infernal flames.

This final track cements the band’s ability to drag you into their own limbo—a place where past, future, and uncharted sounds merge into something fierce and unrestrained.

Ritualistic!

The main contributors are drummer Catherine Redfern and guitarist Leo Hancill. We met at an open mic night in York in 2018. We were previously in a band called Redfyrn (Leo played drums and Catherine played guitar) which ceased to be active in 2022. Catherine’s simple yet driving drum patterns add weight and drive to the music while Leo’s attention to tonal detail and experimentation with tunings and equipment give the music the breadth and depth often missing from other two-piece bands. Our combined vocals add a ghostly ethereal layer, giving melody that threads together the massive riffs and pummeling tone.
