Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Thing With Feathers. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their musical vision.
The sound of this band immediately made me vibrate and stirred the right emotions.
A compositional method that looks to the past and that recalls legendary bands of the 80s but at the same time manages to be modern.
The general production of the new single Lights Down Low is very professional and the song is accompanied by a beautiful video that reminded me of the atmosphere of Carpenter’s films, perhaps due to the intense lights.
The Thing With Feathers seems to have clear ideas on how to propose their musical project to the world both in terms of sound and image.
A solid artistic project, a band of good musicians who spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
Lights Down Low is The Thing With Feathers’ Album Out Now!
Modern and Cool!
The Thing With Feathers is an alt-rock, pop and dance enigma, fueled by four of Nashville’s favorite fools: David Welcsh (vocals), Sean Carroll (bass), Alex Hendricks (lead guitar) and Chris Roussell (drums). Embodying the punk ethos of DIY, the Feathers bring the kind of eccentric, electric energy capable of catapulting a garage band, initially built for taking over college towns, in front of both underground and mainstream audiences alike.
