Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Search. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their compositional style.
I immediately liked the sound of this band…their music seems to carry the Swedish nature with it.
The sound is airy, sincere and free and made me imagine the boundless Scandinavian snow-covered forests.
Ancestral melodies that bring with them primordial emotions … sometimes some songs on this album seemed theatrical to me and for example, Bunny would fit perfectly as the soundtrack of a movie.
We are faced with great musicians who have developed a very refined musical taste.
You can feel that The Search know each other well and that they have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.
This album is a beautiful sound experience, all the songs are deep and solid.
I recommend their music to everyone.
Extras is The Search’s Album Out Now!
Deep and Refined!
The Search is one of Sweden’s best kept indie secrets. Singer, guitarist, and lead singer Razmig Tekeyan has been putting out his beautiful melancholic rock music under the name for decades. What started as a band that almost made it big back in the early 00’s became a solo project that reached its peak with the latest critically acclaimed effort “Heart’s Racing” in 2020.
Now it’s time for The Search to be a band again. Erik Nyberg (bass), Stephen Burt (lead guitar), and Johann Bernövall (drums) from the band’s hometown Uppsala in Sweden join Razmig Tekeyan and release their first work as a four-man band. The new album “Extras” is out now.
