our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Racket. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I loved their style a lot.
Suddenly you hit the play button and you are faced with a great band … there isn’t much to add.
As soon as the music proposed by The Racket began to strike my ears I immediately realized that I was in front of a band that has a bright future ahead of them.
A typical English-style rock, irreverent and catchy, performed to perfection by this talented band. It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.
Honestly, I found no flaws in The Racket’s music in my opinion they are a mature band ready to play on big stages around the world.
Their songs are well thought out and the chord progression is never banal and obvious and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
A band to watch because these guys will lead the way.

The Racket are a 4 Piece Indie Rock band from Widnes who formed in 2015. Their songs are powerful, energetic and politically charged with a “two finger attitude”. Their success started in 2017 when they began selling out numerous shows across Liverpool and Manchester.
Since their electric start they have toured the UK and France with acts such as Louis Berry, Lottery Winners, Cast, Twisted Wheel along with some major festival appearances at This Is Tomorrow, Sound City, Tramlines and The Great Escape.
