I really enjoyed this version of this legendary song.
The thing that fascinated me is that Venusia got closer to the original composed by David Bowie.
Many artists have preferred to do something similar to Nirvana and therefore paying homage to the original song is in my opinion very intriguing.
You can feel that Venusia is a very close-knit duo who have created a beautiful musical alchemy.
Their version of The Man Who Sold The World is very refined in both vocal interpretation and arrangements.
The pizzicato strings added rhythm to the groove making listening even more enjoyable.
I also appreciated the generous reverb on the vocals which created an ethereal and magical atmosphere.
A band to keep an eye on as they produce quality music.

Venusia was born in the midst of the global pandemic, when, through a series of odd coincidences, Andrew and Anisah found each other, from halfway across the world. Separated by different living situations, COVID restrictions, borders, oceans and continents they quickly understood that they were counterparts, having everything in common including a deep musical compatability. Finally meeting on neutral ground after defying travel bans, conventional concerns and coronavirus variants, they overcame the challenges to live their life together expressing their unique creative synergy through music, art and word. Combining their abilities to orchestrate melodies, words and concepts while incorporating their eclectic life experiences, the Venusia Project came into being.
Venusia is putting the finishing touches on their debut album, Light Waves. Light Waves introduces songs with a blend of pop-rock and classical styles, celebrating themes of self-determination, unconditional love, loss, growth, and hope, extending from the personal to the universal.
