Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Gold Supply. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their compositional style.
The sound of this band immediately fascinated me as it brings with it ancestral and mysterious vibrations that have the ability to hypnotize the listener.
The Gold Supply have managed to create their own sonic universe that makes them stand out from the crowd.
In some moments the melodic lines of the voice made me think of Kula Shaker while the music of Massive Attack … a very interesting mix of influences.
As I was listening to their new single Something Like You I closed my eyes and found myself in a Blade Runner-like environment. An industrial city, dark and rainy.
The Gold Supply’s music seems to come from the future but it also has shades of the past that put this sound in a very special limbo.
A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone.

The Gold Supply are a new, science-fiction, space-zombie-in-a-coma, Nordic-noir, UK-based band that formed amongst the turmoil of the global pandemic and world chaos.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Massive Attack, Arcade Fire, Portishead, Bjork, The Verve, and Spiritualized, The Gold Supply are due to release their debut EP ‘Open Lines’ with their fresh new signing with Analogue Trash.
