Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Freight. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vintage vibes of their songs.
I liked this band from the first notes.
Their sound has distant roots that fish in the great rock of the past.
A real rock sound emphasized even more by the voice of the singer who frankly has nothing to envy to the great rock voices that have accompanied us during our lives.
Although the compositional approach is that of classic rock I also heard some modern nuances that make the overall sound of this band really interesting.
These guys know how to play and you can hear that they have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room refining their skills.
The songs are very well constructed and thought out and the chord progression is never banal and always manages to surprise with refined harmonic variations.
A mature band that I absolutely recommend to everyone.

The Freight are an upbeat fusion of Rock N’ Roll, Blues Rock, Soul, and Jam mixed with a contemporary Modern Rock edge. The Freight embrace every avenue of Rock. From classic vintage sounds that started it all to ’80s and ’90s rock revolutions.
Hailing from Boston Ma, their influences include a wide variety of artists including; The Stones, Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Cars, The Police, White Denim, The Black Keys, and Gov’t Mule to name a few.
