The music of The GOAT attracted me because it hides a dark secret.
The sound is hypnotic and crepuscular and makes you feel like in an abandoned factory. The neon lights flash, the puddles reflect the light and the tubes amplify the sound making it metallic.
The color I see is a “matrix green”. People dressed in black dance and their precise movements make it look more like a martial art than a dance.
We are certainly dealing with a great producer. When music is able to create oneiric visions then it is great music.
The sound research is maniacal and the melodic and rhythmic construction of the song is impeccable.
To dare to call yourself The GOAT you must have the numbers … and indeed this artist has talent.
The Details Are Vague is a solid and mature album that had the ability to stimulate your neurons by developing cathartic processes.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

The GOAT is no stranger to the music scene. He has been performing electronic music throughout Western Canada since the early 2000’s and shared the stage with artists like Chris Liebing, Layton Giordani, D-Unity, Ramon Tapia, Kevin Saunderson, Dave Angel, and Claude Young.
His first release as The GOAT (2016’s “Flout” EP) entered Beatport’s Top 100 Techno Releases chart, and climbed to the top 10 on the Top 100 Minimal Releases. He followed this release with 8 singles, 3 EPs, and now the new full-length album “The Details Are Vague”.
