our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The DePatie Melt. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was fascinated by his music.

I was instantly captivated by the musical universe created by this talented artist. I felt absorbed by this music as soon as this magical guitar’ sound began to caress my ears.

This sound is a gift capable of making you forget about everyday problems. The intricate melodies of the guitar manage to speak directly to the listener’s heart.

He co-wrote Acoustimania with The Wrecking Crew session legend Don Randi. He also co-wrote the Jezebel album for Cathouse Thursday with Will Faerber and Aaron Bagley.

Select recordings include Nancy Sinatra’s cover of U2 ‘s “Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad”. Played alongside U2’s Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr).

“Good Jazzy Vibrations “, jazz versions of The Beach Boys.

Songs by Don Randi & Quest with special guest drummer Hal Blaine. DePatie Melt (Featuring Don Randi & John DePatie) as a title first appeared as the opening track on Don Randi and John DePatie ‘s Acoustimania CD from 2012.

In 2019 Will Faerber and Peter Wilson used it as a title for a couple of shows that they presented of DePatie’s music.
