Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s feature artist is Kaiwyn and his single The Cut After the First.
The Cut After the First is Kaiwyn’s Single Out Now
The music proposed by this artist is delicate and sincere.
A song that everyone can relate to. A love story that ends but love is still strong and it’s hard to accept to see people going on with their lives.
Kaiwyn has the ability to speak directly to the listener’s soul and heart. His voice is intense and his expressive skills are fantastic.
The Cut After the First is a very catchy rock-pop song that keeps you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
The production is excellent and the interpretation is intense. A nostalgic melody that will echo in my head for a long time.
I advise everyone to go and listen to this talented artist. His music is full of refined nuances.
The Cut After the First is Kaiwyn’s Single Out Now!
Sincere!
Kaiwyn (pronounced “Kai” “wern”) is an Australian based singer songwriter who chose to complete his medical degree while remains passionately knotted with his thirst for music. Kaiwyn started writing blogs and poems initially, reflecting on the experiences and emotions faced during teenage years. It gradually transpired into lyrical works, incorporating with multitudes of contrasting music elements from various cultures. This special song vault continued to expand as time passed, and most were kept dormant whilst undergoing medical training in Australia.
After graduating medical school, Kaiwyn was stationed in Tamworth, NSW for internship and residency where he participated in the Tamworth Busking Championships 2015, mainly performing covers and a few of his originals. His first single, “Dedicated to You” and sophomore “You’re My Kind” released in 2022, were favourably received by local community radios, with the latter topping listeners’ votes at No.1 on the Discovery Program at Pulse FM Hawkesbury Radio for 4 weeks in January 2023. The next single, “The Cut After the First” is one of the first few songs written back in high school, which entails a strong theme of realisation and insight. Along with B-side “Future Me” included, focusing on the power of strings and genuine storytelling, as it comes into full circle of the acceptance in moving on with a sigh of relief and grief, contemplating for an alternate ending yet remaining faithful for this bittersweet memory.
