our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Terry Blade, I discovered this artist on Youtube, and instantly liked the uniqueness of his voice.
Generally, I don’t review this kind of music but Terry Balde’s voice impressed me so much that I wanted to write something about his sound.
A voice that comes from another era that blends perfectly with the modern sounds proposed by this artist.
Music that seems very quiet but inside it carries a particularly fascinating mystery.
Terry brings with him his roots, he doesn’t forget his past and the title of the album that he is going to release, “American Descendant of Slavery”, makes us understand that this artist is not only a good singer but he also has many things to say.
Perhaps too often we forget how black people came to the U.S. and those chains that today are invisible have created scars that will never be erased.
Terry’s voice brings that pain but it also brings hope for a better future.
His voice comes from afar, its ancestral timbre makes you understand that there is something more than just skin color.
Let’s listen to the voices and close our eyes, let’s focus on what people have to say and not on superficial things.
This is perhaps the message that Terry wants to send and his voice is a gift to get this message of hope to the masses.
