Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Sunlust. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their grunge sound.
As soon as I put on the headphones I felt catapulted a few years back in time.
Do you remember the plaid flannel shirts, the long hair and that desire of rebellion that only the ’90s has been able to provide?
This band draws heavily from that music period and offers a very interesting grunge rock that manages to be modern at the same time.
I really liked the singer’s voice, in some passages it reminded me of Courtney Love, she has a slight raspiness that makes her voice very rock.
Nice drum riffs and bass lines, the songs flow well and are able to create the right energy.
In this historical moment, musically speaking there is a great need for sincere bands like Sunlust.
We are surrounded by music made by beats, produced almost entirely by computers.
Luckily there are still bands that want to play real instruments, bands that want to meet in the rehearsal room, sweat, make music and have fun.
For sure a band to keep an eye on.
Action Figure is Sunlust’s Single Out Now!
Cool grunge sound!

With the help of Producer and Engineer Lorne Hounsell (Fucked Up, Cuff the Duke, and Bedouin Sounclash), Sunlust is releasing their debut LP in early 2021.
