Good Day Noir Family,
our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Bosola and their single Space & Time. I found this band on Spotify and liked their music’s vibes and mood.
Space & Time is Bosola’s New Single | Edgar Allan Poets
The vintage compositional approach of this band immediately made me fly with my imagination.
I pictured myself driving a Volkswagen Beetle through the English countryside on a sunny summer Sunday.
The rhythmic cadence and the melody of the new single Space & Time made me feel free and charged me with vital energy.
Bosola have a clear artistic vision that makes their musical project solid and direct. For sure these guys spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable alchemy.
Their sound is honest, made of real instruments and not beats and computers.
The thing I liked the most is that Bosola mixed country rhythms with a chord progression more towards alternative rock. A very interesting combination in my opinion.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Space & Time is Bosola’s New Single | Edgar Allan Poets
Bosola are a 4-piece Alternative Rock band from Newcastle Upon Tyne, from a collection of musicians who met in Heaton. Their unique sound references alternative guitar bands of the 80s and 90s and existential lyrics with guitar pop sensibilities and affable wit that will make you want to dance yourself into the abyss.
‘Space & Time’ is a lyrical exploration of the frustration of watching your childhood sweetheart betray all your faith in romance by devolving into a lusty rascal with a penchant for chaos and heartbreak. Inspired by many deep meaningful conversations supporting friends who pursue relationships with such rogues, Tim decided to distill the complexities of pursuing someone who just isn’t that into you into a nifty little country song. Moving through a cycle of emotions from loss, eye rolling disdain, fascination, frustration, disgust and finally ending on the resolve that too much time has been spent thinking about them, with the cheerleading reprise chant of ‘You gave them distance and you made the time between the lump in your throat and the back of your mind’.
Musically the song draws on songwriter Tim Cox’s love of country infused alt rock with artists such as The Lemonheads, The Smiths, John Prine and Bright Eyes, making their mark on the danceable number.
