Someone Who Knows is Sycamore Bones’ Album
The sound of this band fascinated me from the first moment.
I’ve always been a fan of Folk, Americana, and Rock music. This sound brings with it the tradition of melodies that have come down to us from the Appalachian mountains. Sounds and emotions that like the wind have reached every corner of the globe.
Surely we are dealing with good musicians with a great experience behind them. The compositional refinement of these tracks is enviable and manages to speak to the soul of the listener.
The thing I liked the most about Sycamore Bones’ music is that it is direct and sincere. It’s easy to compare this band to The Lumineers or Mumford & Sons but in my opinion, these guys have managed to create a unique musical blend by inserting nuances of bands like I R.E.M that make their sound intriguing.
Someone Who Knows is a coherent album that follows a common thread. All the songs are solid and an ancestral nostalgia surrounds you while listening to these songs…I have a similar feeling when I listen to Counting Crows songs.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.
