Rosetta West is a blues rock band from Illinois. Their music frequently includes elements of psychedelia and world folk music, and their lyrical themes often venture into mysticism and spirituality. Founder and songwriter Joseph Demagore handles vocals, guitars, and keyboards and Jason X plays bass and keyboards. Jason has been co-producer and sound engineer since the Labyrinth album in early 2024. Joe and Jay both play percussion, along with drummer Nathan Q. Scratch, who refuses to be photographed. With the exception of a one-off release with Alive Records, Rosetta West has maintained a long, unconventional and fiercely independent underground career. They have fans around the world, and their many releases are well worth seeking out.
