The passionate sound proposed by this band spoke to my soul and heart.
I was struck by the singer’s expressiveness. A voice full of nuances that manages to make you believe the words of the lyrics.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time rehearsing as they play with fantastic chemistry.
Silence of the Day is an intense and emotional rock ballad. The solo around minute 3 is melodic and touching, the guitarist proves to have a great mastery of the instrument.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal. A compositional approach that winks at the past, but songs like these will never go out of style.
The Samurais are a band to follow carefully as they offer quality songs.

The Samurais are a four-piece good time indie rock band from the South Coast of England, UK, based in East Dorset. Neil Sexton (Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar) Tim Jones (Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals) Rob Russell (Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals) Paul Currah (Drums).
Formed in 2018, they started out playing covers and originals gigs in various south coast venues, and by doing that have gained traction and a growing local reputation, culminating most recently in 2022 by being asked to headline some local music festivals including the H&W Dorset Beer Festival in Blandford and Lightening Bolt Festival in Poole. They’ve also performed at Teddy Rocks Festival 2022 and at Poole Lighthouse Theatre for a sell out “Live and Unheard” show.
They’ve been busy working on their own original material, and the band are currently in the studio recording their debut album, with their first single “Do What You Feel” released in March 2022, and their second single “Silence of the Day” released in August 2022 which has been played on BBC Radio Solent along with an interview with Neil. The new single has also already been played by DJ’s worldwide on over 25 other radio stations including in the UK & Europe, USA, Australia & S. Africa!
