Surely we are dealing with a very interesting artist with an unusual and fascinating musical vision.
xty takes inspiration from the past to compose her songs but her style manages to be modern at the same time.
As soon as I started listening to her new single she/her I imagined myself driving a Volkswagen Westfalia around the endless American roads.
This groove is wild and engaging and awakens the rock spirit sleeping in you. While I was listening to xty’s music I felt free.
The lyrics are brilliant and demonstrate compositional qualities out of the ordinary. The vocal interpretation is impeccable.
An artist to follow closely as she produces quality music. The production is professional, in general, an excellent musical product.

Christy, known by her friends online as ‘xty’, is a quirky Canadian singer/songwriter located in Vancouver. She infuses indie-rock with pop music. Her experimentation of sounds and different art mediums leaves her listeners on their toes. Her goal is to write from the heart and comfort the lonely.
xty’s quiet, creative soul compliments her dark and heavy vocals/lyrics. Her music has been largely influenced by artists such as Lights, Kings of Leon and Alicia Keys. She enjoys sprinkling off-beat humour in her music and content, and putting a light spin on the struggles of life.
