Sentiments is Deltawelle’s Ep Out Now
Sentiments – The song is about feelings that are mixed up, a result from a chaotic world around. Oublié – A warning speech from Alexander Gerst (Astronaut). Retroviseur – daysleeping and escape from reality. Jusqu’à ce que le soleil se couche – two souls floating in the cosmos
The sound of DELTAWELLE puts you in a timeless space, finds the right words to describe the inner tensions and contrasts. Moods oscillate between euphoria and melancholy, the thoughtful reverie with a pinch of self-mockery and wit, all embedded in a soundscape of new wave, indie and a pinch of funk. It is not uncommon that one or the other song does not find a way out and loses itself in dynamic dance escapades not far from dazzling spheres.
The fact that the band names itself after a brain wave on the occasion of a graphic representation has something to do with the situations in which many songs were created. “Many ideas come unexpectedly from the subconscious, often just before sleep,” says the front singer and founder of the band Franz Schneeweiß. One from Leipzig, one from London and two from Berlin make up the new wave quartet based in Leipzig and Berlin.
