The second single, titled “Scumbag Tone,” delves into themes of envy and delusions of grandeur. It also serves as a playful nod to the band’s guitarist, Antonio, affectionately known as “Scumbag Tony.” When Antonio joined the Goia Paranoia project last year during the early stages of writing their debut album, one of his first contributions was dialing in a particularly gritty guitar tone. When asked, “Hey Tony, what’s that tone?” he quickly responded, “It’s the Scumbag Tone.” From that moment on, the nickname “Scumbag Tony” stuck.
Founded in Gothenburg in the year of 2024, the murky machine wastes no time with single ”Black Out” (5 aug 2024), followed by second & third single ”Scumbag Tone” and ”Sadistic Cravings” (sep & oct 2024), eventually culminating into debut album ”Pandemonium Overdrive”, an eight-track uppercut served aimlessly at the status quo.
