Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Scott Swain. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his unusual compositional style.
I really liked the music of this artist from the very first seconds.
A sound that takes its cue from traditional music in some moments this song reminded me of Balkan folk songs musically arranged in a more rock version.
This music has an infectious rhythm that keeps you from sitting still, the intricate drum parts and the wonderful wind interventions make the overall sound very intriguing.
I imagined myself drinking in an unknown London tavern with a crew of renegades while between beer and women I danced wildly to the music of this talented artist.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Heavily inspired by cult cinema, Scott Swain is a South London based singer-songwriter. Having previously played in rock bands over the years, he started writing and recording his debut EP as a solo artist in 2017: ‘Goodbye Home, Goodbye Country’.
Thanks to a successful Crowdfunding campaign it was released in 2018 via Resonating Wood Recordings. Scott is currently working with legendary producer Chris Coulter (Arcane Roots, Jamie Lenman, Reuben) on his follow up EP, which is set for release in August 2021.
