I already reviewed Kevin Rieth in the past but he is out with a new single and I want to share my thoughts about it.
The atmosphere created by this talented artist’s new single ‘Robert Dufresne’ intrigued me.
This song reminded me, for some reason, of the 70s, perhaps for the vocal line. I felt the Beatles and Led Zeppelin vibe mixed together … maybe even a touch of David Bowie.
We are faced with a great singer-songwriter who is capable of creating articulate, profound, and never banal and predictable songs.
The melodic line is intricate and varied and keeps you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
The production is perfect as usual and the attention to every minimum detail is obsessive.
Another beautiful song that I recommend everyone to go and listen to!

The single was self-recorded in a DIY studio in San Diego, CA. The project was mixed by Dan Molad (Lucius, Coco, CHIMNEY) and was mastered by Jennifer Munson at Taloowa Corporation.
This song was heavily inspired by 60s baroque and power pop, aiming to take the listener on a whimsical journey through an alternate reality.
