Their musical adventure continues with this fantastic ballad. It was obvious since the beginning that these guys had a plan in mind.
They snuck into our lives with an irreverent and fun alternative punk…they won us over with songs like Sleepy Policeman, Playboy driver and many others and today they throw off the mask and we finally understand 9 o’clock Nasty’s mission.
I imagine them wearing black berets, smoking a cigar with Fidel Castro and Ernesto “Che” Guevara as they talk about the Revolution. I see them passionately discussing how to wake up the sleeping mass… then finally the idea that will change the world called “Rise Up”.
Yes I know I’m exaggerating but the lyrics, the music and the way they sing Rise Up inspired me.
I became a soldier in the 9 o’clock Nasty militia. I support their ideas and I truly believe that people should start waking up. Governments are muzzling us… but we are not good dogs and we have to start biting. Rise Up must be the anthem of this new revolution.
I have a suggestion for the band, since the song is very catchy they could try to start a trend on Tik Tok and find new soldiers to enlist for this battle.

As the festive season approaches, it is time for the most dangerous boy band on the planet to rise from their slumber and let rip. 9 o’clock Nasty unleash RISE UP. A ballad of resistance. A love song to revolution.
The world is objectively a worse place. A scarier place. An increasingly threatening and uncomfortable place. Where are all the protest songs? Why are all the handsome and interesting looking rock stars not inciting the masses to resist? No, we don’t know either but we have decided to do something about it. We are now officially a BOY BAND and this is our love-pop-power-ballad of insurrection.
We promised you new directions and new approaches and we were not kidding.
On hundreds upon thousands of busy streets shoppers struggle to afford the gifts they want for those they love. Under the flickering fake-happy illumination we end another year as drones in the corporate hive. We aren’t saying you should rise up and smash the system, but if you did decide to, we hope you enjoy this song as you get about your business.
