Redemption in Jackson, Mississippi is Whitney Blake Myrick’s Single Out Now
Redemption in Jackson, Mississippi” is about a friend’s struggles. She is a single mom, a survivor of both cancer and domestic abuse, and a victim of an unjust legal system. She also may be cursed, according to a few psychics she met. I wanted this song to inspire her to hold on to hope; she had a recording of my acoustic version of it for over a year prior to the release of the studio version. She said it got her through many dark days. I hope the song can do the same for others.
