Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Quizboy. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his passion and style.
This music took me back in time and I found myself listening to the great bands of the 90s.
Quizboy’s compositional style takes inspiration from Rock, Grunge, and alternative. I like this kind of music a lot because it is irreverent, sincere, and direct like a punch in the face.
Today we are inundated with plasticized beats and there is no blood on the guitars and there is no dripping sweat like when in a basement a band plays with all the passion possible, dreaming one day of making their music heard to the masses…nowadays only computers and filters.
Fortunately, there are still artists like Quizboy.
These songs are composed and played by one person and this makes this musical product even more fascinating.
A very talented artist that I recommend to everyone.

Quizboy is Ben Dayho who plays all instruments
All the songs were penned during 2020, the release is a reflection of how that felt. It is named “Bella” because that was Ben Dayho’s dog that died during the quarantine. It was a pivotal point that set the tone for everything that has happened since then, as well as influenced the writing.
This Ep was Home recorded all by Ben Dayho. The first track features drums from Nicholas Schlesinger, an accomplished drummer and studio musician.
