As soon as I pressed the play button Purge And Flourish reminded me of the 90s but at the same time there are musical nuances that make this music very modern.
The chord progression is intriguing and the dynamic progression is very well thought out.
The thing that struck me is that this artist managed to find his musical universe. His music lives in a limbo of its own.
The sound is twilight and intense and makes you travel with your imagination. I would see this type of music as a soundtrack to films like Blade Runner.

My name is Dave Belding. I’m a Long Island native from NY. I’ve always had a love for writing and performing music. For me, raw emotion is best laid out in its purest form when it comes to music. When crafting songs, I tend to blend and stir genres together. There’s a progressive quality in my music, and a need to keep the music unpredictable, and unique, and not for the sake of being different, but because it’s necessary.
Loaded with mood, atmosphere, often heavy at times, every note is deliberately put in its place. I got into guitar at an early age, and always enjoyed using strange guitar tunings to create riffs, and melodies that are beautifully different. Yes I have ADD. Yes I struggle with putting my clothes away, or dishes in the dishwasher. But I’m hyper focused when it comes to music. My goal is to invoke emotion through these songs. One thing I’ve learned, is that deserve has nothing to do with what you get out of life. Fairness isn’t rewarded through a system of weights, measure, and balancing. And as dreams can be most formidable, it should never stop anyone from following their heart, their passion, their calling, their dreams. That’s always been a message of mine, and I’ll continue to lead by example.
