From the first track, Interstellar Life, the band sets a cinematic tone that feels straight out of a Quentin Tarantino sci-fi film, with a futuristic flair rooted in vintage sound.
It’s a compelling opener that pulls you into their universe, teetering between eras.
Cosmic Discotheque adds a dystopian edge to blues influences, evoking imagery of chaotic landscapes à la Mad Max.
The contrast is refreshing, with raw guitars and heavy beats meeting a spacey electronic layer. Then, Close To You lightens things up, bringing a playful and flamboyant vibe.
It’s funky, energetic, and cinematic, with a female vocal performance reminiscent of early Madonna, offering a perfect juxtaposition to the darker tones of the album.
Autumn Fall stands out with its infectious tribal rhythms and jazzy saxophone, merging the primal with the sophisticated. It’s both sexy and eclectic, clearly demonstrating the band’s ability to fuse retro with futuristic sounds effortlessly.
Meanwhile, Rialto pulls us into the heart of the ‘80s with its melodic, nostalgic balladry—an intense, melancholic track with a dusky atmosphere.
The album also dives deep into electronic territory with Cosmic Discotheque Part 2, a synth-heavy track that feels like a nod to ‘80s video games.
The keyboard riff is instantly memorable, and the entire song transforms reality into something pixelated as if you’re dropped into an arcade game.
Finally, Theme From Cannibal Holocaust pays homage to the cult classic by Ruggero Deodato, capturing the eerie, cinematic vibe of ‘80s horror soundtracks.
Each track on this album carries its own distinct flavor, showcasing the band’s wide array of influences and artistic vision. It’s the kind of record that reveals more with every listen, a work of musical innovation that’s as exciting as it is diverse.

Psychedelic Soul & Trash Vol.3 is Legends of the Seven Golden Vampires Album Out Now
Born out of the burning crucible of the DIY Mashup scene of the early 00’s, Legends of the Seven Golden Vampires is a production duo (Nick Foster and Luke Barratt) that takes the spirit of that time to meld genres, blow minds and move feet. Inspired by sounds that drove the many music movements across the decades and molding them together with kaleidoscopic abandon to create unique and fresh tracks. Sonic plunderbusing their way through the UK Psychedelic Rock and Northern Soul movements of the ’60’s through Funk, Disco and New Wave Postpunk of the 70’s and 80’s, through to the French Touch, Chicago House, Detroit Techno, and Electro shooting towards the UK Rave and Jungle scenes of the 90’s.
The band also draws inspiration from the 1974 cult horror film The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, channeling the film’s ambition of molding genres into something that shouldn’t work but somehow does.
