our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Principe Valiente. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and was fascinated by their fantastic music.
The music proposed by this talented band is intriguing and mysterious. I immediately liked their sound as it is crepuscular and hypnotic.
This music is for night lovers and was able to make me travel with my imagination and for a moment I felt like I was in a Blade Runner scenario.
The sound of Principe Valiente is futuristic, epic, and intense. You can feel that these guys have a great compositional experience behind them as all the songs on this album are solid and refined in every slightest nuance.
I found no flaws in Barricades, the production, execution, and interpretation are magical. A band capable of standing out from the crowd with a sound that is unique and that places them in an absolutely original musical limbo.
It is difficult to label Principe Valiente’s music because these guys courageously followed their musical vision and thanks to that today we can enjoy these fantastic songs.

Four years after the acclaimed album Oceans, the Swedish post punk band Principe Valiente are back with a new album. If you have ever visited the world of Principe Valiente, the ten songs on “Barricades” will feel pleasantly familiar. The dramatic soundscape rises like a fairytale forest around the singer Fernando Honorato’s warm and unassailable voice. It’s all in there, the beautiful melodies, the post punk energy and the cinematic drama.
