I already reviewed the North Ship in the past but they are back with a new single Plastic House and I want to share my thoughts about it.

The tribal rhythmic cadence of this song was able to create immediately the right atmosphere. An absolutely fantastic 70s stylistic approach.
This band has a clear artistic vision that takes its cue from the past. North Ship was however able to modernize its sound by creating a unique sonic blend.
It feels like these guys spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable musical chemistry.
The psychedelic and ethereal style manage to transport you to another dimension. A band that is not afraid to experiment and that is constantly evolving.
These are the bands I love the most. Artists who courageously follow their artistic vision and who do not follow useless commercial rules.
Absolutely reconfirmed.

Plastic House is North Ship’s New Single | Edgar Allan Poets
North Ship is singer, guitarist and songwriter Tom Golzen, and drummer Francis Nørgaard Jensen. Tom has been pro, semi-pro and then enthusiastic amateur for 110 years and even got signed to EMI Germany as a songwriter back in the ‘90s. Francis is a hugely respected veteran of the Copenhagen rock and jazz scene and is the “go to” drummer for those in the know about his awesome talents.
North Ship has existed in various forms since 2013. The style has evolved from quiet, atmospheric acoustic-based songs featuring a cello, double bass guitar with no drummer to its current line-up. Live, North Ship perform to backing tracks mostly created on Logic and an Elektron Octatrack, which is an eight-track sampler.
North Ship are excited about this route. It’s been a huge challenge creatively to use a sampler and a sequencer, and make live drums and guitar feel an organic part of the music rather than something sitting on top of some pre-recorded sounds. The marriage of electronics and a more classic guitar and drum-based attitude has been very inspiring.
The previous single, Green Light, currently has over 130,000 streams and gets around 800 new streams daily.
