our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Paper Ship. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of their songs.
This band gives off nice energy, their songs range between hard rock, prog, and metal and manage to impress with their intricate melodic construction and constant chord progression changes.
Very engaging music that shows great attention to every detail.
These guys are great musicians and you can hear that they have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable musical understanding.
The rhythm section moves without hesitation and the bass follows the complicated drum passages impeccably.
The guitars are unleashed with powerful sounds that propel the vocal melodies in the choruses.
The voice with its very particular timbre immediately distinguishes the sound of this band.
The production is excellent and every sound element finds the right space and the mix is very well balanced.

PAPER SHIP is a new self-produced and independent alternative rock project composed of @jamal_aggoun @baz_drum @marcuskearsey that formed in London in Early 2020 right before the pandemic hit.
