Right out of the gate, Black Out introduces you to the chaotic energy of the album with a raw, explosive sound.
The track takes you on a wild ride, with a thick, unrelenting beat that feels like being launched into a stampede. It’s a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart, the kind of track that makes you want to crank the volume to 11.
Volume 000 delivers a haunting atmosphere that’s a little darker and more unsettling, yet still heavy with that same raw power. The vocals on this track echo the grunge-era angst of bands like Alice in Chains, with a weighty tone that matches the epic intensity of the music.
It’s one of those songs that pulls you deeper into the album’s world, where everything feels slightly off-kilter and unnerving.
Things take a sharp turn with Burden of Fuck, a song that opens with a breakneck pace, only to slow down dramatically, bombarding you with heavy, thunderous riffs. It’s like being hit with a sledgehammer after the initial shock, and by the time the rhythm slows down, you’re headbanging in sync with the powerful, almost aggressive chord progressions.
The track is as chaotic as its title suggests, with a powerful back-and-forth between frantic energy and crushing weight.
Minimal Activity (Innocence) takes things into hypnotic territory, with a rhythm that feels almost ritualistic as if you’re trapped in a trance.
This track shows the band’s ability to layer sounds that are both ominous and gripping, building towards the inevitable explosion of energy in the chorus. By the time the music hits its peak, you’re left feeling dizzy, almost overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of the sound.
Torpedo is one of the album’s highlights, showcasing the band’s strength in melody and atmosphere. The balance between heavy and melodic sections here is what sets Goia Paranoia apart from other heavy bands.
They manage to create something that feels innovative, taking the best elements of nu-metal and grunge and blending them seamlessly.
Neurotic Chainsaw continues the high-energy, full-throttle pace with an infectious rhythm, while Scumbag Tone takes a darker turn. The riff here is thick, dense, and gritty, and the distorted vocals scream out with a rawness that feels like an attack. It’s intense, in-your-face, and unapologetically aggressive.
Closing out the album, Sadistic Cravings (Old Ancient Cruel Desire) brings an almost gothic vibe. The rhythm here immediately calls to mind Marilyn Manson’s The Beautiful People, but with a more driving, insistent energy. The track builds to a cathartic climax, capping off Pandemonium Overdrive with a sense of both finality and satisfaction.
This is an album that takes you on a journey, throwing you into the chaos of each song without warning but never leaving you lost. Instead, it leaves you exhilarated, breathless, and hungry for more. Definitely one of the most exciting discoveries this year.

Through a doom-laden, psychedelic barrage of headbang-inducing noise, the group explores themes such as paranoia, megalomania and predatory behaviour, coated in massive riffs and a razorlike force throughout the eight tracks of the album.
Founded in Gothenburg in the year of 2024, the murky machine wastes no time with single ”Black Out” (5 aug 2024), followed by second & third single ”Scumbag Tone” and ”Sadistic Cravings” (sep & oct 2024), eventually culminating into debut album ”Pandemonium Overdrive”, an eight-track uppercut served aimlessly at the status quo.
