The prerogative that struck me about this band is their original sound.
A modern and powerful sound product. The mix in my opinion is very interesting as the voice seems muffled at first listening. Then you realize that it’s able to emerge without overpowering the music.
A very interesting artistic choice that manages to distinguish the sound of Sleep Well Beast.
Although Out Of Date is their debut single, this band already seems to have clear ideas on which way to go to develop their musical vision.
Honestly, these guys already seem mature, and the understanding between the band members is excellent Probably before starting this project they had already played in other bands.
Out Of Date is a great song, in my opinion flawless. These guys have started off on the right foot and are on the right path to achieving their dreams.

Out Of Date is Sleep Well Beast’s Debut Single | Edgar Allan Poets
Its 2022 and rock is a dying genre, a baron wasteland of men in their 30s and 40s listening to Arctic Monkeys and Biffy Clyro. While the genre is pulling the ladder up behind itself, Sleep Well Beast are making their debut. Armed with vocoders, face paint and dodgy dungarees, the band are not afraid to be different.
Southend on Sea’s newest and best rock band Sleep Well Beast are determined to give rock a new face debuting, Out of Date and B-side Nothing Was The Same on 17th June.
The band formed in lockdown and spent their time apart writing material for a lengthy 2022/23 campaign Out of date is the first single in a long line of songs to come from this band. Sleep Well Beast take influence from their Southend peers Nothing But Thieves amongst other modern greats like Royal Blood, Deftones and even cooler acts such as Bon Iver.
Sleep Well beast are performing at Isle of Wight festival Sunday 19th June and have a headline show at London’s Old Blue Last on the 21st of June. Sleep Well Beast are formed by Josh Hixson(Vocals + guitar), Ellis Davis (Guitar), George Rutherford(Drums).
