Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Our Propaganda. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the intensity of their music.
The sound of this band is intriguing and refined.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understading.
The rhythm section is solid and the bass follows the drums like a shadow, creating the right groove to push this tune.
The singer’s voice is also interesting, as thin and sharp as a razor blade. A unique vocal timbre that manages to distinguish the sound of Our Propaganda even more.
The single ‘My Ghosts’ that anticipates the release of the album is intriguing and nostalgic, it reminded me of the legendary bands of the 90s such as Placebo, Soul Asylum obviously with a more modern sound.
A band to keep under the radar because these guys produce quality music.
My Ghosts is Our Propaganda’s Album Now!
Nostalgic and Refined!
The album countdown is on! And in support, British alt-rock quartet Our Propaganda have kicked off 2022 releasing their fourth single ‘My Ghosts’; an almighty soaring crescendo through from melancholy to anthemic choruses, with a haunting video to accompany.
“‘My Ghosts’ is about how your past comes back to haunt you in your darkest moments. It’s about how sometimes, you never really let go of the problems you face as a young person. It’s once again a song about accepting them as part of the person you’ve become. “They’ll never leave me but despite them I carry on”. It’s about reconciling with painful memories and knowing that they’re not the arbiter of how you go on.” – Jack Denton, Our Propaganda
