E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Oly
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Oly. I discovered this Artist on Somnium Space and I liked her voice and music a lot.
While looking for new ways and searching for new ideas on how to promote my music, I landed on Somnium Space. A fantastic virtual world where you are free to create and express yourself.
Other similar virtual projects are Decentraland and Sandbox where artists can perform live in front of avatars that are actually real people. You can be paid for your performance with Cube, Sand, Mana tokens… isn’t that cool?
This is the future as imagined in the movie Ready Player One by Steven Spielberg.
While wandering alone through these Elysian fields, trying to find some answers, I met my oracle Oly.
This artist is truly talented and brilliant. With me, she acted like Virgil for Dante. Because of her, I was able to better understand the dynamics of this parallel universe.
I went to listen to her music and I was intrigued by her ethereal, solid, and magical voice. Oly’s vocal control is perfect and above all, her expressiveness is magical.
Oly is already successful on Spotify and on other platforms. She has been working with many famous artists and she deserves it because she is certainly very talented.
The thing that I liked the most is that she is also a pioneer of the metaverse. She moves with dexterity in the virtual world.
I’m glad I found her music and her “futuristic” vision.
This girl will go a long way in both the virtual and the real world.

The Future Now!
Oly is an American singer, songwriter, and recording artist who has performed and written popular dance tracks like Bring Back the Summer (feat. OLY) by Rain Man, which charted #5 on Billboard Dance/Mix Play, Close by 3LAU, and What You Do To Me (feat. Oly) by Not Your Dope. She is also apart of the duo Xaia with Kris Trindl (AKA Rain Man). She has released music on Spinnin’ Records, Armada, Dim Mak, NCS, Lowly/Trap Nation, and more.
She is Hispanic and Asian, and was born into a large, musical family. She has studied musical theater, guitar, and piano. At the age of 16, she was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show with her sister, Anora, singing a song they’d written. Oly lives in Las Vegas with her best friend and dog, and enjoys reading, watching horror movies, eating dumplings, long hikes, and collecting things found on said hikes.
I was so fascinated by these possibilities that I decided to create my own virtual city. I am pleased to introduce Noiris, the city of the Edgar Allan Poets. The project is still under development but one day we will play a virtual concert in the central pyramid of the city.
