our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Of Shadows And Lights. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his way of composing music.
A nice direct rock sound with no strings attached, this is what I thought as soon as I hit the play button and started listening to the music of this artist.
A modern and effective sound that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The melodic lines and the chord progression are very articulated and never predictable and banal and manage to keep the listener glued to the speakers.
The refined choice of sounds and the attention to every little nuance make this artist a true professional.
The production is fantastic, the mix is excellent, leaving the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Of Shadows And Lights (OSAL) was born in 2018 and it’s the moniker used by Italian singer-songwriter/producer Angelo Pitone. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music with distinction at the UWS.
The philosophy behind his music is a juxtaposition of the beauty and ugliness of humanity (Crossfire and 10:1). Just like the Yin and Yang (The Fortress, Am I Still Alive?) the link between music, lyrics and photography enfazises the contents (Universal Thing).
Musically he rides through the popular Rock and Pop anthems of the latest three decades, and touches the shores of cool experimental modern Indie Rock (Unaware Passenger). As well as the 90’s alternative rock grooves (Awakening) the cinematic quality songs (Cold Shivers, A Mending Silence and Stuck Among These Stones) complete the picture.
