Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to ODEONS. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music.
The sound that this duo offers us is absolutely innovative and unique.
In the music of this band, I felt grunge, rock, and pop all magistrally mixed together.
The arrangements are modern and fresh and it is this mix of past and modern that makes their sound so innovative.
Immediately recognizable music, well thought out and above all well performed.
The chord progression is never banal and obvious and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
I really liked the singer’s voice that unleashes many rock nuances and that she manages to speak directly to your soul.
Really nice music that I recommend to everyone.
Allowed to Fall is ODEONS’ Single Out Now!
Magical and Rocking!
ODEONS is rock/pop producer duo Mikko Jaakkola and Pati from Finland. Their sound mixes elements of modern electronic pop with the rawness and sophistication of rock acts like Bush, Muse, and Faith No More. “These guys know how to write guitar-driven music”, says Grammy Award winning producer Sylvia Massy (Prince, Tool). When Mikko and Pati first met back in 2013, they decided to break through with their signature guitar-based music.
Although they have had several bands along the way, the challenge was to find an equally ambitious singer. So, in 2020 they agreed to start a producer duo that will collaborate with driven singers around the globe. Odeons are buildings built for singing exercises, musical shows and poetry competitions, and ODEONS is the perfect venue for musical collaboration. The first single, Hush Hush, was released on April 9th, 2021. The song made it to the semi-finals of International Songwriting Competition earlier this year. ODEONS has many collaborations in the pipeline, and the next songs will feature artists like Joey Djia and drummer Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle).
