NYC is House of Light’s Single Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
House of Light’s single NYC hits with an immediate sense of urgency, driven by a riff that instantly recalls the nostalgic essence of Bronski Beat’s Smalltown Boy.

NYC is House of Light’s Single Out Now

With clear ’80s influences, the track manages to evoke strong feelings through its dark and gothic atmosphere, while carrying a subtle edge that takes it beyond mere homage.

The chorus shifts into a more alternative rock territory, reminiscent of the somber tones of bands like Christian Death and The Cure.

The musicianship here is precise and well-crafted, reflecting a band with a deep understanding of composition.

One of the most striking elements of NYC is how it gradually strips down around the 2:20 mark, creating an anticipatory tension that builds toward a grand, emotive finale.

What stands out the most about House of Light is their commitment to authenticity. This is music that feels real, with a sophisticated and theatrical approach that sets them apart.

The interplay between the guitars, bass, and drums is particularly impressive, creating a solid foundation for the melody to unfold. The track has a dreamy yet enigmatic quality, perfect for late-night drives through the city, lost in your thoughts.
