our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Moonlight Thief. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and liked the atmosphere created by their music.
I must say that the voice of the singer of this duo immediately bewitched me. A vocal timbre rich in nuances, an intriguing and mysterious voice that seems to hide a secret.
Moonlight Thief’s music is free and exudes rock vibes.
A sincere and direct rock without strings attached that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is excellent, a little rough but perfect for the genre because it makes it even more solid. The chord progression is not obvious and banal, it is evident that this duo has a great talent and that is why I will keep him under the radar.
Moonlight Thief have a bright future ahead of them that’s for sure. A fantastic find that I recommend to everyone.

Moonlight Thief is a two-piece alternative rock project from Germany made up of Emily Küpers (b. 2007, lyrics, vocals, acoustic guitar) and Alexander Almering (b. 2004, electric guitars, percussion).
Inspired by all that is human and influenced by singers and songwriters from the past and present, the band’s guitar-driven music captures the spirit of the times. At a time when virtually everything feels extreme, the reference points are broad and psychically stirring. With raw power and intimacy the band’s self-deprecating lyrics pick up the riveting fragments of everyday life, deliver a deeper understanding of heartbreak and sadness and build on the transformative power of vulnerability.
