our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Monique Barry. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was fascinated by her style.
As soon as I hit the play button and heard the labored breathing introducing the song, I didn’t know what to expect. Then the voice began to sing a beautiful melody and I was instantly hypntized.
An ethereal and magical vocal timbre that spoke directly to my heart and soul.
This song seems to be therapeutic and somehow made me feel free … the time of a moment that becomes eternal.
The musical arrangements in some passages reminded me of Nancy Sinatra, an original and unique compositional style.
Monique Barry with her voice and with her love for water made me feel like Ulysses the first time he heard the chant of the mermaids.
An artist of crystalline talent that I absolutely recommend to everyone.
