I recommend everyone to go listen to Blind Man’s Daughter and savor every little detail of their songs. Their metal has progressive, jazz influences that make it truly unique.

Blind Man’s Daughter is a melodic progressive metal band from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The project started out in 2012 with founding member Ashley Wolfe writing songs, singing lead vocals and playing guitar in Durango Colorado. Over the next 10 years Ashley left Durango and moved around the USA while Blind Man’s Daughter remained Ashley’s passion project, a true labour of love and creative outlet.
In 2022 Ashley moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where the project really came to life. Working with local musicians and writing songs at a furious pace Blind Man’s Daughter grew from a studio project to one of the most exciting new sounds in the metal scene.
In just the few months between November 2022 and February 2023 the album Sundressed was completed. Blind Mans’s Daughter has created a cutting edge, melodic progressive metal sound that is entirely fresh yet has deep ties to progressive rock and metal music history.
Ashley’s lyrics and vocals convey complex emotion with lyrical depth, clarity of thought and surprising feeling. The lead vocals are sometimes smooth and flowing, sometimes growling, sometimes soaring and at other times close and soft. The music is progressive and heavy yet is also sometimes intimate and has elements of metal, rock, and more. These influences combine to become a style that is compelling and unique.
